OTHER HAPPENINGS:
We FINALLY decorated our tree. We've had it for a week and a half, but with all the sickness and business with Justin's classes coming to an end, we just didn't find time to decorate it. Aubrey really enjoyed helping. Her favorite parts were climbing the ladder, playing with the bead garland and of course all the "balls" that we put on the tree.
It really isn't this short and fat, just a funny angle I guess :)
Also, after reading about all the amazing creations Lisa has been cooking up, I was inspired to try something new. My creations aren't quite as gourmet because I have to consider what a one year old will eat. I've made this before, but forgot about it. I wanted to make a complete meal for Aubrey for lunch yesterday, but didn't want too big of a mess. I had left over rice, so I decided to make fried rice. Veggies, protien and carbs all in one dish that we both enjoyed. I added extra steamed carrots and peas and some extra egg. I know, it's a far fetch from Rachel Ray, but just thought I'd throw a kid friendly idea out there to all you moms.

I am highly impressed! That is one of those yummy things that I love eating but always wonder, how do they make this?!
I'm so dieing for my Christmas cards to get here... I keep going back and looking at my order just so I can drool over them again. You are such a pro. Seriously. You are my Christmas Card hero.
ok, even though I did not win it was extremely exciting seeing my name in the hat! and yes, I did a double take on the photo of your "wide" tree! I first wondered, how did she get that thing through the door? Then I read the caption. Very funny.
OH MY GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE I WON!!! YAYYYYY!!! Thank you so much Barbie! I'm really excited. I'm so glad you guys are coming Saturday, and I and definitely going to try that recipe!
It looks yummy! Good job on cooking up a kid-friendly feast!
hi there, just wanted to tell you I loved your idea for your 100th post contest. How creative! And even though I stopped by too late to put forth my twelve days of Christmas, it was SO fun to read everyone else's. :)
Hmmm, fried rice! Now that is a good idea for lunch. After all, one does get a little tired of sandwiches or chicken nuggets everyday. haha. I'll have to try it and see if my girls like it too!
I have 3 sleeping babies at my house right now and one of them is yours! I love sneaking a few minutes of blogging in during nap time and was thrilled to see your beautiful tree. She is so cute with the garland around her neck! Merry Christmas little one!
I wussed out on your contest. The creativity just wouldnt come. Aubrey is at such a fun, busy age for Christmas. Kids make holidays so much more fun. I hear rumor that your dad is headed up this way.
