A busy weekend, a busy baby!

It's been another busy, fun weekend for us. On Friday night we had Justin's school carnival. Aubrey loved it, of course, because we were outside. We saw all of Justin's work friends and Daddy got to show off his little girl. She even got to play briefly with her friend Logan (he's about 1 1/2 months younger than Aubrey). It's so cute how much babies love playing with other babies. Yesterday we did some chores during the day. Justin had to get the backyard ready to put in concrete because we're extending our patio (CAN'T WAIT). The concrete company is coming on Tuesday to frame and will probably pour on Wednesday. Then we went to dinner and played Nintendo Wii at Kate's house last night. We had yummy salmon and a great time playing (despite what Scott says about it being for 13 year old girls):) Then today, we had my school BBQ. The food was GREAT and I got to show off my little girl. My students are old enough that they LOVE seeing my baby. It was a beautiful day and I'm always reminded of how lucky I am to work out in the country. The drive is beautiful, the trees are big and mature because the school is old, and there's just a history to it. Some families have been going since 1945.... YIKES :) Aubrey has also kept herself busy trying to crawl... and not really succeeding. For the most part she does a push up and goes backwards a few inches, but she keeps trying. She likes to be on the go and I know that as soon as she figures crawling out, there will be no containing her. I'll enjoy the no crawling while I can!
