It seems like I take a million pictures a month. I look at them as I upload them, and I know exactly what was going on, exactly why there's a frown, smile, laugh, etc. But I know that soon those clear memories will fade and I'll want to remember. Remember who Aubrey was at four and a half (almost). I'll want to travel back in time to remember what she loved, who she played with and what life was like unedited. So here's Aubrey in a nutshell-- at four and a half:
You are creative!
You love ponies and really loved this paint by number pony that we worked on together. You've been really into mermaids because of Barbie Mermaid Tale and asked me to draw one. I did my best, and you paid attention. Here are the mermaids you drew. You coreograph interpretive dances.
You ask for paper to do projects constantly. One day, you set to work to make presents for all the neighborhood kids. After you colored them, you cut them out and had me write names on the back. You made a heart, some flowers, an Easter egg (far left), and abstract square design, and Easter eggs hidden in grass (far right). Your mind must be going a million miles a minute. You are creative with your toys! You love to PACK...everything really. Your babies. Your clothes. Your food. It entertains you for hours. You are a fashionista! Here you wanted long Rapunzel hair. This was your solution when you couldn't find your wig.You change princess dresses at least 5 times a day!---and clothes for that matter!
You're a good friend!
You are always thinking about your friends and will often tell me things like, "when I see Gracie/Abby/Faith/Riley, I'm going to share my ____ or tell them about ____." Sometimes this is isn't the reality, but you've grown SO much in your generosity and understanding of how frienship works. You love your cousins and the fact that Brogan and Reagan live just down the street.
You're also expressive...check out that face!! HA HA :)You're a daddy's girl.
Maybe it's because he paints your nails.
And takes you on Valentine's dates to Gnomeo and Juliet. You were so excited to pick out your outfit and jewelry.
You're smart!
You are sweet, sensitive, analytical, emotional, loving and growing up way too fast! Aubrey Paige, we love you so, so much. You are such an incredible little girl. We're so glad you're our daughter!
ok, she is the cutest, darling-est girl. I can't get over her big smile and expressive face in all these pictures! what a sweetie.
and yes, that picture of her and her daddy is too precious for words. Ahh, daddy-love. Nothing like it! :)
I LOVE your new blog look, by the way. Mine needs a facelift, BADLY, and seeing everyone's fresh new blogs is only making me more aware of that fact! hehe
