Camping with Cousins

When I reflect on the memories of my own childhood, they don't feel so very far away. My memories are still very full of the emotions I felt at that moment. Some of my fondest memories in childhood were made camping with my family. I loved being with my cousins and the chaos and fun that it brought.

It's when I realize that MY CHILDREN are creating those memories NOW, that my memories seem further away. These are the times that they will look back on fondly, and so will I. I'm so thankful that they are so close to their cousins so we can do fun stuff like camp (in a trailer, mind you) together.(One day we'll rough it in a tent, just not yet)

Once again, we went to Avila Hot Springs and had a blast. This time, my dad, Alyssa, Christy, Jed, Brogan and Reagan joined us. We went swimming, on bike rides, to the beach, on long walks, to Avila Valley Barn, and the list goes on and on. In everything we did, we created memories that will last a lifetime. It was a great Mother's Day weekend!

So much JOY in this picture. I LOVE it!

I'll leave you with some "campfire songs"
