Random babbling :)

So life's been busy this last week. Sunday was my 27th birthday and I wanted to go shopping on Saturday to celebrate. We went down to LA and of course I ended up spending most of my birthday money on fall clothes for Aubrey. I couldn't help it. We went to H&M's in the Beverly Center. I bought a few shirts for myself and then I made my way over to the kids section....are you KIDDING ME....they had the CUTEST stinking clothes for kiddos. They were totally reasonable too. I got Aubrey a couple of long sleeved shirts... I think one was $6.90 and the other $9.90. I think I need to post pictures of them so you can get the full idea of how cute the stuff was. I got her a jacket, pair of pants and pair of shoes also.

On Sunday, Justin made me a birthday cake and special birthday dinner. He's such the chef. I was anxious because school was starting the next day, so I just wanted to relax, iron clothes and get ready for the week. It was a great birthday.

Monday was the first day of school and I worked it so Malkreet could take her boys to their first day of school. Did I ever mention what a blessing it was to work with Malkreet. God totally heard my prayers.

a picture of us in our room the Friday before school

When we were trying to get pregnant I remember telling Justin that I just COULDN'T work full time. I really wanted to job share or work part time, but I didn't really have a plan to make this happen. I prayed...God answered. I had signed up to go to a reading conference with Malkreet and we just happened to be going the day after my 1st doctors appt. At the time Malkreet was teaching 3rd grade. At lunch time I told her I was pregnant and her immediate response was, "Let's job share next year." WOW, GOD REALLY RESPONDED QUICKLY! She was the first person I told I was pregnant. Not only did we both want to job share, but numbers were down at our school so they were going to bump her to another grade for the 3rd year in a row, so it worked out for the school too. Our personalities really mesh well and I'm just so blessed to work with a girl who is not only a great partner, but also a great friend.

So anyways, sorry for the tangent, but the first day of school went REALLY well. Aubrey survived her first full day of daycare (she has to go every other Wednesday when Christy and I both work). I cried when I dropped her off, so did she, but we both survived. I think I was more anxious about her daycare than my day at school. Funny how our priorities change after we have kids.

Here's a cute picture of Aubrey, just because. She loves eating steamed Zucchini and playing with the Spaghetti (not so much eating it :) ).

Oh my GOSH! This is the WEIRDEST Barbie! Ok first of all, Malkreet's boys are on the soccer team Alif is coaching - Graham's team! ROFL! What a small world!!

AAAAND, I have been praying about what to do about the doctor situation. As you read, I love our family doctor and the PA's reaction to everything. The only thing is that it's not solely a pediatrics office, and it's kind of nice to go to a pediatrician since that's all they do, kwim? LaMonica told me about her ped and she really likes him but also warned me that he's weird, so hmm there. Then my cousin came over the other day and told me that SHE uses the same doctor and she doesn't think he's weird at all and she likes him a lot too. And now your comment! How funny!

I didn't realize it was your birthday, you are even younger than me. Happy Birthday. Glad you have survived the 1st days back.

First of all Happy Birthday! We should have gone to lunch like we did for Justin's B-day.

Second...I think Justin needs to hold a cooking class and invite Brent. What a fantastic meal. I am so jealous!

Oh I love that Justin made you a cake and a special dinner! I was wondering what your birthday plans were- what a perfect day. I was just in H&M's baby department last week too, and going CRAZY! Man you're right, the clothes are ADORABLE! I got Christian an olive green engineer hat I'd been looking everywhere for. Let me know if you want me to bring anything special home for Aubrey from there. I wonder if they have a website.

PS- Oh I am SO proud of you for surviving the 1st day of school (I bet all of your students are so glad they got Mrs. Thompson!). I bet Aubrey loved her time with the other babies too!
