For those of you I haven't told, Christy is expecting baby #2 and Auntie Mom (as Brogan likes to call me) couldn't be happier. I've actually known for a really long time, but Christy has had miscarriages before so she wanted to wait for the saftey zone before the whole world knew. She's 12 and a half weeks now so I'm officially allowed to tell the world! I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE AGAIN!
The real surprise isn't just that she's having a baby, but that on Wednesday I got to go the doctor with her while they did a genetic screeing ultrasound (Jed had to work and it's one of those screenings that has to be in a certain week and the technician only works Wed.)...and thanks to incredible technology they told her they might be able to find out the sex. The technician (Lainey, who used to be the technician at Baby Sightings)told us that she wouldn't tell us unless she was 100% sure. Thankfully the baby cooperated....

YAY! Christy's having her first girl, Aubrey is going to have a best friend/cousin and we have 6 more months to shop until little Girl Slayton's arrival :)
I recorded this literally the second after they told her.

Love it! Brandy told me Gma told her Christy new it was a girl via u/s-I was so confused because I knew she wasnt very far along. Now I get it. Awesome. I love the video reaction. You guys are so cute. Gotta love a baby girl. Tell Christy congrats!!
Oh my GOSH, that is so EXCITING!!!! Congratulations on baby number 2! I bet Christy is adorable pregnant, too!
Wow! I had no idea they could tell what the sex was so early in the pregnancy. I am excited that she is blessed with one of each. Send her my congrats.
I still can't belive how quickly they found out about the sex... Wow. Technology is CrAzY! Congrats Auntie!
Hey Barbie and Justin! I just found this blog! So great! And so fun for you guys huh? Aubrey is beautiful, by the way.
It just isn't right she knows before me, =)! I hope to find out in the next week or so. I go to the DR in the morning and will schedule from there. Yeah for girl cousins!
Okay...I totally was unprepared and thought that it was your pregnancy test. As I was scrolling down I saw the test (heart skipped a beat), then read what you wrote. Whew...just Christy's.
