Great Friends and Fall Fun!

Whew...I feel like I haven't had a chance to sit down and do ANYTHING...let alone blog. Finally, I have a few minutes to rest before I go to work tomorrow (YUCK...it's a 3 day week).
We had a busy weekend with friends, which is a good busy, but still busy. Saturday evening we met up with Megan and Jason...whom we haven't seen in over a year because they're missionaries in Scotland. In the meantime, we've both had babies. It was SOOO GREAT to be with them. To me Megan provides such a sense of security. She's been one of my dearest friends since Jr. High and the memories we made together seem to define who I was during those crucial high school years. I read her blog religiously, so although I don't feel like I've missed out on watching Christian (Jason and her son) grow up, it was just so much better having them here in person. I look forward to spending more quality time with them during their furlough.

"Hey hottie are you busy tonight?"

On Sunday, we went apple picking in Tehachapi. It was warmer than we anticipated, but it was a beautiful fall afternoon. We met up with my sister and her family, Malkreet and her family, Julie, Gracie, Sarah and her family. It's just such a nice relaxing time to spend with friends. We started out by eating a picnic lunch and then enjoying some homemade apple crisp (the best you'll ever have!) and then made our way over to a u-pick orchard to pick some apples to bring home. The last time we went as a group, Brogan was just a baby and the only other kiddo was Scott and Lorie's neice Ella. This time it was kidmania and they tend to make things a bit more complicated. Not real meltdowns to report, just a little less adult socializing and a lot more picture taking :)

Awww Barbie thank you so much- man, we have the most hilarious memories. You were such a solid rock in my life when it felt like most things were going wrong though, too. I love the apple picking pictures! I saw that top Aubrey had on at Target yesterday- I have to say, their girls clothes department farrrr surpasses the boys! I forget, did Christy find out if it's a boy or a girl- or is she waiting?
