On Sunday we hosted a welcome home party for Megan, well for the whole Mills family. Jason, Megan and Christian are on a 3 month furlough from their work through neiucommunities. I knew Megan wanted to visit with a bunch of friends from Bakersfield, but when you're splitting your time between Bako and So.Cal where Jason's family lives, it's hard to see all the people you want to. So I thought a casual welcome home party would be fun. A ton on friends stopped by to see the Mills family and of course it was fun for me too because most of them were part of my past too. There were friends from high school, Westbrook, and just others Meg's had along the way. For me it was extra special because I got to spend time with Misha and Megan (both haven't lived in Bako for years). We decided to be cheesy and pose for pictures after the party had died down.

I also got to spend some relaxing (well if being with 2 kids counts as relaxing) hang out time with Misha on Monday before she headed home to New York. This is rare because when her and Mike are usually in town it's hectic trying to visit all the family, etc. I truly enjoyed just being together. I really need to budget in a trip to the Big Apple while Mike's doing his post doc there.
Megan should be back up in Bako sometime in November so I look forward to some bonding time with her as well.

THANK YOU so much for this party Barbie. It was absolutely perfect. You really did provide such a place for me to feel loved in. I left really remembering some amazing friends that are here- and encouraged. Thank you for making it all happen. You really do ALWAYS go the extra mile.
Oh! And would you mind emailing me the full size pic of us laying on the grass? I don't think I got that one on my camera (poor Justin, snapping pics of us silly girls on 2 cameras) and think it's probably frame-worthy!
