Home Sweet Home

I guess that's how my babies tend to feel about my womb. Aubrey was in no hurry to make her entrance into this big old world, and this baby isn't either. I had my Dr's appt. today and I think the doctor felt bad telling me that I wasn't progressing AT ALL, so instead he said, MAYBE 1cm and 50% effaced. At least it gives me a glimmer of hope that my baby won't be in there forever...

I realize that some people don't really make any progress until they are in actual labor, and I also realize that some people stay dilated to like 3 cm for over a month. I know that I could have this baby tomorrow (Oh Lord, please...PLEASE), but I don't think that's going to happen. At least I don't have a false sense of hope. I may have to kiss my hope for that 2009 tax deduction goodbye, and as long as I get to kiss a sweet little baby soon, I guess I'm okay with that. ;) I have another appt. next Monday morning where, "we'll talk about getting things started". Considering Aubrey's size and Justin's work schedule (he already scheduled certain days off), I'm ALL ABOUT induction. I know some of you are shaking your heads ;), and in all honesty, at the beginning of this pregnancy, I was opposed to the idea of another induction. Now I'm at the point where I'm ready to serve my baby an eviction notice. No more home sweet uterus...it's time to join us out here ;)

My official prediction (I hope my date is way late): Jan. 3rd 1:30pm 9lbs 2oz GIRL

How about your guesses??

I'll give some type of prize to the winner, but I can't guarantee a prompt delivery (just like this pregnancy ;) ).

Hey, no judgement here. I'm halfway considering the old castor oil induction myself. So sick of being pregnant!

Your pictures below are gorgeous!!! You look great in them! Even if you feel overdue and miserable, haha.

I will make a guess for the heck of it even though I don't see you : )
I say Jan 1st (why not a new years baby). 8lbs 14 oz.
Oh my sister-in-law is a L&D nurse where Dr. F delivers if that is who you are seeing still. Her name is Molly, she is working the next few nights I believe, so ask for her if you want to, she is super good and loves to have nice families to take care of!

I'm going for Jan 1st also...GIRL...8lb 8 oz.

Sending up a little prayer that you don't have to be induced...and that things go well! Can't wait to hear!

This is my plan: a day, maybe more, of walking/shopping with my mama when she gets out here. I have now had THREE friends go into labor after an entire day of shopping and walking. Not just like, hey let's walk for two hours, but the. whole. day. long. And if it doesn't work the first time, then I'm going to walk the coastline of Oahu :) If your due date is Jan. 2, and this is second baby but first was late, I predict Jan. 4 12 pm. GIRL. 8 lbs. 11 oz. (like me! :))

Hang in there Barbie! Can't wait to see your precious bundle...guessing a girl! Everyone is guessing 8 lbs something, so I will walk on the wild side and say 9 lbs even. Not cuz you look big, just because I'm doing my strategy like they do on The Price is Right. We don't get penalized for going over though, do we?
