"Psst...it's me, over here---->>
Have you noticed me lately? I keep on dropping a number everyday and before you know it, there will be 0...ZERO days left.
Are you prepared?"
Every time I open my blog, this is what I hear. My wee little babe (probably not so wee anymore) nagging me to get ready for the impending arrival. And what do I do? I go on with normal life. Sure, I've washed the nursery bedding, but the kids have played babies in there since then. And sure, we talk names almost everyday, but no FINAL decisions have been made. And sure, I have a list of all my wants for this baby, but I haven't made many purchases.
So, yes baby, I notice you! ....but I really need to get on the ball! With your sister, I was overly prepared. I had my bags packed WAY in advance. I had outfits picked out and washed. I had drawers lined and paperwork waiting by the door. But baby, now I have a three-year-old to chase after. And I have a cold. And I guess I have this impression that I'll know what to do because, you know, I've done this before. I'm worried that this is a false impression.
In my attempt to quiet your sweet nagging voice, I've been trying to get things done lately. I have my lesson plans done until the first week of February, I actually bought two little bitty newborn outfits and they are washing as we speak (in ALL free and clear detergent), I've organized the nursery (for the most part), pre-registered at the hospital, and printed/ filled out my portion of the disability paperwork. Still, I don't feel prepared. I need a diaper bag, a new port-a-crib, a NAME, my own bag packed. I need to finish Christmas shopping, decorating, wrapping. And guess what, baby? Yesterday, the doctor gave me the paper. The one that explains when to call and/or go to the hospital. So, yes, I hear you (and him) and I'm getting ready. We check your size in two weeks. If you're anywhere near as big as your sister, I'm hoping I can convince the doctor to help you arrive a little earlier than Jan. 2nd.
In the meantime, dear bloggy friends, give us your input on some of the names we've been talking over. Not that your opinion will make the decision either way, but wise input is always valued. :) There are some polls underneath that sweet ticking baby over there. ;)

I totally feel you Barbie! Especially now that this little guy is trying to make an entrance way before Dec. 28 (or the other due date of Jan. 7 for that matter). I was in such a panic last week because NOTHING was done. But the false alarms really helped Stephen get on the ball with things and I'm starting to feel more relaxed about everything. I still need to pack Bean a bag though in case she needs to go overnight and I should probably have a just in case hospital emergency transfer bag packed too. But I don't.
Your getting close, your right! : )
Crazy! It makes me realize how much I haven't done! I can't decide what is more important to work on...Christmas stuff or baby stuff! Where did you end up buying baby outfits? You need to take pictures and post them! I used all the recommendations that people gave you on FB and found a cute Tea Collection outfit that should get here this week...I hope I like it as much in person.
Good luck getting things done!
Reed Reid Reed! I really like that one.
It will be fine Barbalish, you'll get used to juggling two and work out a schedule pretty fast I imagine. So exciting! - teri g
I voted I voted! He he he. I never do this stuff because I have to log on to something or sign up for some website. But this time...I did it. Probably because I didn't have to log on to something or sign up for some website! I love the names! You are so cute. Can't wait for this first of many babies to fill up the nursery this next year!

Isn't it funny how with a first baby everything is ready, you have a name as soon as possible and you're just waiting for the baby to arrive? The second one comes around and you're so busy with the first child that you just can't devote that much time to preparing. I think everyone is the same way. I know I was! But it doesn't make baby #2 any less special. It is nice when you know what to expect with having a baby since you're a BTDT mom. I love your name choices! Can't wait for baby to make his/her appearance and hear the gender and name! :)
I finally voted on your name poll- you've got some REALLY cute names picked out- any of them are GREAT. If we end up with a Kate and a Sawyer, it's gonna be pretty funny (you watch LOST, right?)
Didn't you JUST announce you were prego! Agh! I can't wait to meet this little guy or girl! I can't believe it is almost time for the baby to come! EEEEK!
