At 3 1/2 little miss Aubrey is too smart for her own good. She's a thinker...sometimes it entertains her, sometimes it gets her in trouble and sometimes it causes her anxiety. I wish she were a little more relaxed, for her sake, but she is her mama's child...

- Use a ton of adjectives and adverbs. Some of your favorites: Seriously and "I'm serious", that's terrible, quickly, carefully.
- Still won't get out of bed without me coming to get you or BEGGING you to walk out because I'm nursing your sister. It's funny how you're overly obedieint when it comes to staying in your bed or in the corner, but you test the limits in so many other areas.
- Hate eating...but really need to because you are a grouch when you don't eat.
- Still need a nap on most days, but hate taking them. Sometimes you crash in the car, but most of the time I just walk a fine line trying to decide if I should fight the battle or just put you to bed early. It's not always a battle, sometimes you tell me you're tired, but very rarely.
- LOVE all the rides at Disneyland, especially the fast ones!
- Like to play with older kids. You really loved hanging out with Maggie when she came to visit, most of your friends at preschool are 4 or 5, and, of course, your best bud is Brogan.
- Get anxious in large groups and turn into a clingy grouch, but when we leave all you can talk about is how you "had so much fun with your friends and you can't wait to see them again".
- Remember EVERYTHING. The other day you were telling me about something that happened last spring. Really, it's crazy how much you remember.
- Take pride in your work. You really want to please most of the time. You want to color inside the lines, write your name perfectly and get everything .just.right. Sometimes this causes you to freak out because you have to start over a.million.times.
- LOVE your little sister. Sometimes you love her too much and want to wake her up when she's sleeping by talking REALLY loud right next to her and then saying, "Oh look, mom, Juliet is awake."
- Have a great imagination...especially when playing with your babies. You like playing house and doctor the most.
- I can't believe I almost forgot this, ARE POTTY TRAINED!
- Bring us more joy than you'll ever know.
Thank you, Lorie, for the beautiful pictures!

I know why her and Maggie get along so well-can you say kindred spirits. She is a funny, smart little kid. Im so proud of the pottytraining!
your daughters are precious!
love this post...she is her mamas daughter in terms of loving to ride the fast rides..you two are dare devils!
And I love that she is a little grouchy in big groups but can't stop talking about her friends, sounds like she loves to be around ppl but is probably trying to figure out how to be herself in the mix (and I am sure its just intidimidating to be around a big group of new ppl...I mean many adults hate that(-she is just a tiny tot...so that is too sweet...love it.
xo
Those PICTURES! I love that you know her so well. Yesterday as our pastor was dedicating a baby he was talking about raising that child towards their own "bent." You are so tuned in to your daughter- what a sweet thing that she has parents that really know HER.
beautiful family and beautiful pictures!
