...need someone to do their grocery shopping!
I've never used this service, nor do I think I need to just yet. But for you mom's with 2 or more kiddos out there...Colleen, Davi, Sara...this seems like a win-win idea. My sis told me about it a few weeks ago, but I never really checked into it until I saw the truck at the across the street neighbors house. It's only $4.95 to have your groceries delivered if you choose the four hour drop off window. Gas almost costs that much! And they can deliver it during nap times! Wow, let me know if any of you try it :)

I've done vons.com (is it the same thing??) for my groceries a couple of times. It really is fantastic!! I don't actually mind grocery shopping that much, in fact I kind of enjoy it if I can go by myself, and will still go to the store. But, when I do my "big" shopping at the beginning of the month it can easily turn into a 3-hour expedition with driving time and the kids. So I do the online thing instead; I place my order after they've gone to bed while the hubby and I watch some TV together, and have it delivered the next day during naptime like you said. Wonderful. :) I think it'd be great for moms with new babies too-- outings like this are always so tricky with new little ones a feeding schedule.
You have me very curious..I might have to give it a go!
Yes- I say go for it! You can Christy could totally go in on an order! We had our groceries delivered on a daily basis in Glasgow, and boy do I miss it. It was awesome because it saved your account and your "favorites" so even if you weren't in the "mood" for grocery shopping you could just order what you did last time. Ha! I got your email last night- I was in Bakersfield for my Mom's birthday for the day (it was a great time with her). I'll try taking those things off my page and see if it works. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip Barbie! I do dislike grocery shopping so it's nice to have options. BTW, I loved that you posted 20 Easter pics. Fun!
Wow! This would change my life if it was offered in this small dot on the map, but its not. I dont know that I would use it all the time, but when Kurt is gone (which is 70% of the time) it would be nice to not haul kids out!
This is awesome! I checked out the website and it is actually kind of fun to pretend shop on there. When I checked out the pricing it said $9.95 for a 4 hour window and $12.95 for a 2 hour window. Is the $4.95 a special deal?
On another note I saw your sister yesterday! Turns out we know a couple of the same people and we ended up at a mommy/baby picnic together! It was really good to see her!
I just recently heard about this and think it's an awesome idea!! Totally worth the 5 bucks!
Angela, Christy told me it was great to see you! It's such a small world. You're probably right about the prices on this. I just watched the little informational video and $4.95 was the price on the video, but apparently after you enter your zip code it changes accordingly. Still a great deal if you don't want to deal with the insanity of hauling 3 kids along.
Hi from a total stranger who is sadly addicted to you Bridge people's blogs :)
I have used the vons.com service and shipping prices DO vary but here is my rational: As I'm wandering through the grocery store I'm either distracted because I'm hungry or by my crazy kids so I'm way more likely to throw in a few extra things that are NOT on my list that would end up equaling (or going over!) whatever the shipping charges are! Plus, these delivery people, bring the groceries ALL THE WAY into your kitchen! Will even put them up on the counter if you'd like! It really is pretty magical :) Plus once you're registered you get emails with codes for discounts and occasionally free deliveries! Ok I could go on and on LOL SORRY!
So I tagged you. See daylightrising.blogspot.com for details. :)
