This post is going to have a TON of pictures because, well, I can't narrow them down and I don't want to miss anything.
Our Easter fun began on Friday evening with an egg dying BBQ at our house. We had a couple of friends and some family over to eat burgers and dye some easter eggs. It was super fun!

Then on Saturday, we had a special Easter lunch at Justin's grandparents house. Originally we planned on taking the lunch up to Tehachapi and picnicing in the wildflowers, but Justin's grandpa had some visitors and well I think it ended up being too hard to coordinate. It probably worked better for us this way anyways (it was more Aubrey's style :) ) Justin's grandma made fried chicken in a bread basket, an old family tradition, and all the fixins. The kids played outside, enjoying Bob and Patti's dogs (their crate :) ), grandma's old gardening wagon, and of course an Easter egg hunt! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful!

Aubrey thought the dog crate was the best playhouse ever!
Then, of course, on Sunday we started our day with opening Aubrey's Easter basket. She loved it all, but her favorite was this little red helicopter toy and the stuffed bunnies that went with her "Guess How Much I Love You?" book. We got ready and then went to church to celebrate the resurrection of our savior. What an AMAZING gift we've been given! We followed church service with brunch at Justin's parent's house and then another BBQ at our house with my dad and CC.

An action shot of Aubrey chasing the helicopter toy.

Reagan and Aubrey had matching polkadots.

Whew...I'm exhuasted just writing it :)

I just love Easter. I think partially because spring is my most favorite time of year and the weather has been beautiful!!!
Wow-you guys were Easter party animals. I dreamed of being that way until the stomach bug hit our house. Looks like Aubrey enjoyed it all. I too, love Easter, it really does start a new beginning.
Yeah I can see why you had a hard time picking photos- glad you posted them all! Aubrey is ADORABLE in her dress with all of your beautiful flowers in the background. And Reagan is TINYYY oh my gosh I had FORGOTTEN how tiny they are. Is that the Crazy 8 dress? So cute! Seriously, I didn't realize what a busy week you had after you left here- did you MAKE that rabbit cake??
Thanks Meg! Christian looks adorable, but it's killin' me that I cannot comment on your blog! That is Aubrey's Crazy 8 dress at G-ma's picnic. Justin's cousin's 2 older kiddos made that adorable bunny cake. I meant to post that, but apparently I forgot to :)
I have been a bad blogger lately and I'm catching up! All your pictures of Aubrey are so cute! She is turning into a beautiful little miss.
