A "Dad" Hair Day

I usually get everyone's clothes ironed and ready to go the night before, and on most mornings Justin gets Aubrey dressed. He's mastered this task, but he leaves her hair up to me. The other morning I guess her bows were on her changing table as daddy was dressing her and Aubrey came out looking like this. I think Justin should go in the hair styling field! :)

She was quite fond of her look and thought she was "cute" (That's what she said). When I went to take out her abundance of bows she got very angry at me and kept trying to put them back in while saying "cute". That was a first, the girl usually HATES me putting in bows.

In other news, we've been enjoying the weather before it gets too hot. We've been spending a lot of time in the back yard and using the bike cart/jogging stroller. We even took Aubrey and Poppy for a bike ride to the park. They enjoyed eachother's company! Today I intended on walking around the big block for some exercise and ending my walk at the park. About 15 minutes into my journey, I peek in and Aubrey's head is slumped over. I unbuckled her so she could lay on the seat and she was literally snoring when we made it home. Poor girl must have been tired.

On most days though, Aubrey is a wild woman and she likes to climb and jump off everything. I really have to keep an eye on her because she doesn't quite understand the concept of getting hurt yet. She likes to stand on the dining room chairs and hop from one to the next and she often falls in between them if I'm not there to catch her. The other day she was sliding on her little slide in the backyard when she starting doing this little roll/summersault at the end. After her most dramatic slides, we got smart and got out the video camera, but of course she was over it by then and this was the best we could get.

This kid is a hoot!

I love your getting ready in the morning system! Oh my gosh, and the bows- I LOVE that Aubrey is such a girly girl- inspired by her Mommy. And I'm guessing you MADE those amazing bows. Seriously, if I ever have a girl, I have some things to learn from you on these bows. And that SWING set- how adorable. Your little Aubrey is very talented with flips and turns!
