Today Aubrey and I went out to breakfast where we ran into the daughter of one of our former pastors. As we chitchatted, the blogging connection came up once again. She knew Aubrey's name because she was talking to Lisa about baby name choices and it came up. We then briefly discussed Lisa's pregnancy and Jillian. Why does this matter, you may ask? Because I don't think I've seen Lisa in YEARS...I actually think the last time I saw her was in CompUSA a few years back. Yet I feel like we chat daily. All thanks to blogging!
It got me thinking about a way that we (the blogging community) could all connect. So then I thought of BUNCO! I've played with my co-workers and Justin's former co-workers a few times, and it's a great way to have fun while making the rounds socializing. Now I'm not talking about a "regular" Bunco group. I was just thinking of a well-planned one time deal. With Justin's co-workers we used to meet at Papa O's and play in their back room. I thought this would be the perfect setting.
Anyone up for a Bunco night sometime in August perhaps? Maybe when Jason is on a business trip so Megan can make her way down and join the fun? We could do a cheap buy-in ($5-10) or even opt to bring some of our handmade crafty goodies as loot instead. We can discuss the details later.
Let me know if you're interested so I can check out dates that may work and try to figure out where I can get the score sheets/rules.

OK I have to admit I've never played Bunco. I've heard about lots of crazy games, but never myself played.
I would love to get together with all the blog buddies, provided I don't go into labor early or anything. :)

So jealous...I always wanted to play Bunco. You make me wish I still lived in Bakersfield. You are always planning fun activities! If I lived there I would totally be in for what is sure to be an enjoyable evening. Have fun ladies.

Of course I'm in...I LOVE Bunco. My mom plays Bunco with a group of ladies...I'm sure I could snag some of their sheets.
