An Update

I'm overdue for a post and I've been wanting to post more about Aubrey. It seems like she's up to something new every month and I don't want to forget about her little Aubreyisms as she gets older. I thought I'd steal an idea from Megan and write 22 things about our 22 month old sweetheart!

22 things about our girl!

1. One of your favorite things to say is "Aubrey do it." You love to try to do things by yourself and we let you, even when we know you'll need help. Eventually you'll give in and ask for it, "Mommy/Daddy help".

2.You've been obsessed with Barney for the last couple of months and although you still like that happy purple dinosaur, you're also growing very fond of Clifford and "Tommy" (Thomas the train).

3. You'll randomly surprise us with things you've learned that we didn't know you knew. We'll be counting and suddenly you'll say the next number...like seven. Yesterday I asked you if you wanted to sing the Alphabet song and you said "A, B..." and started giggling. Or recently when watching Brogan's Thomas movie you pointed out Emily the train. Considering we don't own any Thomas movies, I'm guessing either your cousin or your buddy James taught you this.

4. You have a shoe/boot fetish. You'll pick out a pair of shoes and insist on wearing them.

These boots were made for walking.

5. You ask daddy to turn on your songs the SECOND we get in his car.



6. You still do "The Hulk" when you get excited, although I think you do it now because daddy encourages you.



7. You love to do your naky baby dance just before bath time.



8. You LOVE your babies. All dolls, action figures and stuffed animals are your babies and you make it your personal mission to arrange each one of them to go night, night. You get very upset when Poppy tries to take over her pillow because that is where all 30 of your babies sleep.



9. Instead of thank you, you say "you're welcome".



10. You're all about tickles. When daddy comes towards you with a silly grin you wiggle your index finger and start laughing because you know it's tickle time. You also like to tickle other people. The other day mommy went out to lunch with some work friends and you tickled a stranger on the behind. LOL



11. You think "tooting" is really funny and have been known to try to squeeze them out and laugh. (All daddy's fault)



12. You love taking your vitamin. You must think it is candy.



13. You're a gymnast in the making...although you'll have to learn how to jump a little higher. You love to do your routine when you "run fast", jump and spin.



14. You love the word scary. Skyler the ferrett is "scary", ants are "scary" and pretty much any other foreign creature is scary.



15. You love chocolate milk! (who doesn't?)



16. You like to put necklaces, towels and even daddy's shirts around your neck and say "pretty".



17. When we're shopping you always want to walk, but really you just want to run away and hide. Mommy does not like this little game.



18. You love pennies and money. You like to put them in a container and take them out, repeating the process SEVERAL times.



19. You're not a smile on command kind of girl and look at people like they're crazy when they tell you to say cheese. You will occassional comply when we say "smile Aubrey".

CHEESE?@!

20. You like bikes and really like to ride the one Grandma Kim bought you.



21. You call Grandma Kim, "Kim or Kimmy". Occassionally you'll comply and call her grandma.



22. You add -ie to the end of many of your words. I think I may support this bad habit, but at least your Aunt-ie Christy is a speech pathologist and will be able to teach you the right way.

Some of your -ie words: piggie, Kimmy, Tommy, clippies, chippies, dippy and may others that I can't think of right now :)

Oh and here's an update on how baby bee is growing.
